It’s perfect timing, and I don’t think it was an accident. Google+ and Klout synchronized their efforts. Just when Google+ moved out of its field testing phase and into public beta, Klout added them to their list of services. You can now measure your influence on Google+ taking the number of services to 11 with more on the way.
Of course, when I linked my Klout account with my Google+ account, I got a message saying it would take a couple of weeks before I started seeing the results. I’m not surprised. That’s been par for the course. I think it actually took a month before Facebook started measuring results through my Klout account and I linked my Facebook account the day I signed on. Klout certainly isn’t fast, but I’d say that it is pretty accurate. I like their metric configuration.
So now the question is, how will my activity on Google+ affect my total social influence score? I’m expecting it to go up. I actually spend more time there than I do on either Facebook or Twitter.
So have you linked your Google+ account to Klout yet? Do you even have a Google+ account? You should.
